Air/Sea Battle By Unknown Author. Bally BASIC, 300-BAUD. 19xx. This is a Bally BASIC game for use on the Bally Arcade/Astrocade. Included are Paul Thacker's original archive notes, which were first posted on March 16, 2022 here: https://groups.io/g/ballyalley/message/18896 -------------------- I've archived Air/Sea Battle for 300 baud Bally BASIC. Thanks to Allen Schweitzer for loaning out this tape. This continues the recent trend of previously unknown amateur programs. It's like the Atari 2600 cart, but extremely slow. https://archive.org/details/astrocade_air_sea_battle Air/Sea Battle is a program for the original version of Bally BASIC that used the 300 baud external interface. Use :INPUT to load it, then RUN to start. The tape came with a system purchased on eBay. The author is unknown. Included are scans of the tape, raw recordings (which may not load), and digitally processed recordings that should load correctly. Archiving notes-- Air-Sea Battle (rev 02) (19xx)(300 baud) - After processing, line 8 showed up as: 8 .{-123}=OFFSCRE{-123}N=U I corrected this to: 8 .E=OFFSCREEN=U Even if this is incorrect, it's just a comment, so won't change program execution. The title from the program comments is "AIR/SEA BATTLE". The author is unknown. It's a two player game with a plane versus a ship. Pull the trigger to fire. It seems to be based on the Atari 2600 game of the same name. Air-Sea Battle (reverse program) (19xx)(300 baud) - This short untitled program was found on the reverse side of Air/Sea Battle. It sets and displays a variable based on the joystick input. Paul
